Why I Will Eventually Set Fire To A Small Business With Great Pleasure

Hello dear reader. You'll note I didn't use the plural. I assure you, it's just you. It's been a bit. What have I been up to you? Alas, it's not nearly as interesting as it ought to be. But things are going to turn around, I'm sure. Until then, I'll just have my insanity to keep me company.

What, what insanity is it with which I am so infinitely and inextricably acquainted? It's got to do with my nose. You see, in case you forgot, I live in a fabulous apartment. It's got exposed brick and ceiling fans and dimmers and pretty much the most bad-ass desk setup there ever was if I do say so myself - and I do! Emphatically! - and this apartment is located in a quality neighborhood. It's chock full of brownstones and bullet-proof glass. There's a check cashing station right next to my apartment, and half of its windows have the spider-web lines of smashed attempts at entry or urban expressions of anger, and if that's not a sign of an upstanding neighborhood, well then, the 24 hour truck-diner is, and that's only 2 blocks away.

But there's something else nearby. I don't quite know what it is, and I don't know quite where it is, but it would not be a lie to say that on a variety of nights, I have walked out of my apartment, and like some cracked-out cartoon toucan, have followed my nose. It's what's driving me nuts.
